Betty Allred Cox

Betty Allred Cox, age 77, of 672 Brownmire Dr., Asheboro died Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at her home. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 14, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Pastor Johnny R. Henderson and Rev. Greg Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Ms. Cox was a native of Randolph County, retired from Belk-Yates Department Store after 25 years of service and was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Clarkson Abel Cox, sisters, Louise Parks and Mary Edith Walker, and brothers, Edward, Lawrence, Johnny and Billy Allred. She is survived by daughters, Delores Cox Cox and her husband Russell of Greensboro, NC, Cynthia Cox Ballard and her husband Roy of Matthews, NC, Teresa Cox Hayes and her husband Tommy Hayes of Sophia, NC, Gigi Cox Phelps and her husband Steve Phelps of Lenoir, NC; grandchildren, Melissa Cox, Brian and Matthew Ballard, Tyler and Jordan Elliott, Tracie Hayes; great grandchildren, Zachary, Christian and Brianna Ballard. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 13, 2007 from 6 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro.
