Barbara Jean Parks Lewis

Barbara Jean Parks Lewis, 74, of Asheboro passed away Friday, April 10, 2026 at Hospice of Randolph in Asheboro, NC. She was born June 5, 1951 in Welch, West Virginia to John Parks and Helen Marie Curry Parks.

Barbara will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Married for over 42 years, Barbara and Buddie started their family and grew their community roots in Randolph County. She was a strong, Christian woman with a deep love of her family, especially spending time with her grandkids. Barbara loved nature and taking car rides – her favorite trip was Blue Ridge Parkway and through the mountains. She was an amazing cook, and her family will treasure all the memories of her Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Buddie Lewis of the home; children, Jonathan Seay (Selena) of Coleridge and Shannon Hassouneh of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Tyler Seay (Sabrina), Michael Seay, Jasmine Hassouneh, Maria Hassouneh, Ferayle Hassouneh; and one great grandchild.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 11:00 am at Randolph Memorial Park.
