Barbara Ann Hooks Fraley

Barbara Ann Hooks Fraley, age 75, of Asheboro passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Greensboro. Mrs. Fraley was born in Salisbury, NC on July 6, 1942 to Clarence and Julia Fortner Hooks. She was formerly employed with Olan Mills and as a CNA. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband William R. Fraley, Jr. Barbara was a true "Diva" in her own way and was full of life and spunk. Barbara enjoyed playing strategy and adventure games and loved giving back to her community. She is survived by children, Tammy Fraley Johnson of Asheboro, William "Bill" Fraley and wife Michelle of Seagrove, and Julie Ann Rollins and fiancé Angelito Joachin of Asheboro; grandchildren, John Wesley Johnson, Jr. of Cuba, NY, Sarah Lynn Fraley of Seagrove, Patricia Ann Fraley of Seagrove; and great grandson, Blake Wesley Johnson of Cuba, NY. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 12:00-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue with Pastor John Williamson officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Memorial Gardens.
