Arthur Leonard Harrelson

Arthur Leonard Harrelson, age 82, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Randolph Hospice House. Mr. Harrelson was born in Asheboro on August 25, 1938 to Ernest Leonard and Vena Cranford Harrelson. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Arthur was a hard worker, was formerly employed with Klopman Mills as a weaver, and was retired from Service Distributor. Arthur was a loyal friend and family member. He is survived by his brothers, William Poindexter of Franklinville and David Eugene Harrelson (Carol) of Franklinville; half-sister Jerelene Bowman of Mt. Airy; and cousin, Carolyn Cranford and her family. Arthur's body will lie in repose on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 9:00 am-12 noon at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm at the Flag Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery, 5852 Zoo Parkway in Asheboro with Rev. Avon Craven officiating and with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, 416 Vision Dr., Asheboro, NC 27203.
