Ann Shough Jenkins, 87, of Asheboro passed away the morning of October 25th, 2021, at Alpine Health and Rehabilitation.
Ann was a native of Rockingham County and a career Homemaker. She cared deeply for her family, always a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who made the best biscuits and sweet tea. Mrs. Jenkins was a caretaker who raised not only her children and grandchildren but also other children in her neighborhood, as well as a multitude of precious cats. Ann showed generosity to everyone throughout her life. She was a follower of the Christian faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Henry and Mary Jannie Shough; husband, Charlie Wray Jenkins; son, Arnold Jenkins; and sister, Nancy Chaney.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Rindia DeVogt (Lee) of Candor, Shirley Fox (Elford) of Candor, and Andree Billips (James) of Franklinville; daughter-in-law, Tina Jenkins of Randleman; grandchildren, Angela Martin (Robbie), Abby Morton (Joe), Jannie Billips, and Robbie DeVogt (Brandi); great-grandchild, Greyson Martin; sisters, Faye Bullins and Carolyn King of Madison, Henrietta Johnson of Stokesdale, and Ada Prescott of Acworth, GA; brothers, Benton Shough of Madison, Willie Shough of Gibsonville, and Thomas Shough of Gretna, VA; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 28th, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main St., Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 29th, 2021 in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Glenn Hancock officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro.

Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association and Sardis United Methodist Church in Candor.
