Aleen Carol McNeill Atkinson

Aleen Carol McNeill Atkinson, age 68, of Seagrove passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Atkinson was born in Moore County on December 20, 1952 the daughter of the late Edward Franklin and Mildred Kennedy McNeill. She was a member of Richland Baptist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Atkinson enjoyed cattle farming and loved flowers. She had a green thumb, especially when it came to peonies and roses. She also enjoyed traveling to the beach with her family. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dwight Atkinson; son, Steven Maness and wife Christine of Seagrove; stepsons, Paul Atkinson and wife Misty of Star, Dwight Atkinson, Jr. and wife Amanda of St. Paul; stepdaughter, Kim Atkinson of Robbins; 2 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Greene and husband Doyle; brothers, Jimmy McNeill and wife Elaine, Johnny McNeill and wife Carolyn, and Arthur McNeill and wife Amanda. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 10:00 am-12 noon at Richland Baptist Church, 2323 Old Humble Mill Road in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 12 noon with Pastor Tommy Smith and Pastor Jimmy Upton officiating. Burial will be held in the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
