Toni Lorraine Smith

Toni Lorraine Smith, age 42, of Randleman died Saturday, April 4, 2015. Toni was a native of Guilford County. She loved her daughter Abigail with all of her heart and spent much of her time helping her with cheerleading. Toni also shared a very special bond with her twin sister who she loved very much. "Twin Power Activate!" She grew up on a horse farm and was a trainer of Morgan horses, competing in horse shows and winning many competitions and was very successful. Toni overcame many obstacles on her way to recovery and gave her life to Christ. She spread her sunshine everywhere she went. Toni was preceded in death by her father, Tony Russell Shinn and grandparents, Russell Shinn and Lorene Shinn. She is survived by her daughter, Abigail Morgan Smith of Asheboro; twin sister, Tonya Shinn Waugh of Randleman; niece, Kennedy Nicole Waugh of Randleman. A celebration of Toni's life will be held Monday, April 13, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Grays Chapel United Methodist Church, 5056 N.C. Hwy 22 North, Franklinville. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Abigail Smith College Fund, c/o Grays Chapel United Methodist Church, 5056 NC Hwy 22 North, Franklinville, NC 27248.
