Lance Joe Russell

Lance Joe Russell, age 40, of Seagrove passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Trellis Supportive Care, Winston- Salem after a long battle with cancer.

Mr. Russell was born January 22, 1978 in Charleston, SC, and was a long-time resident of Randolph County. Lance was formerly employed with Hardin's Furniture. He loved fishing, playing golf and bowling. Lance was a wonderful loving husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years: Tori Gilliland Russell, children: Cody Russell, Kayden Russell, Alyssa Russell and grandchild: Camreigh Russell, all of the home; father: Joe Russell of Silver Valley; mother: Judy Elledge of Mississippi; sister: Joey Russell Nance of Trinity; nephews: Chase Nance and Andrew Gilliland; niece, Raine Nance; mother-in-law: Elizabeth Gilliland of the home; brother-in-law: Jason (Mandy) Gilliland of Urbana, ILL and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 11:30 - 1:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.

A graveside service will be follow at 2:00 PM at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Roger Price officiating.
