Harold Thomas "H.T." Grove, age 67 of Randleman went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. H.T. was born July 25, 1946 the son of Homer Telford Grove and Nora McClenney Grove. H.T. was born in Fort Jackson, SC and graduated from Randleman High School "Class of 1964". He was a US Army Veteran who served his country in the United States, Germany and France. He was a past volunteer of the Randleman Fire Department and volunteer of the Ash-Rand Rescue Squad where he also served as Chief. After serving in the US Army, he was a computer operator for the Blue Gem/Blue Bell for several years. H.T. also worked for the City of Greensboro where he retired after 31 years of service. He retired on a Friday and the following Monday went to work for Atlantic Coast Contractors full time where he was employed in November 2012 when he was diagnosed with (AML) Leukemia. H.T. was a strong man who loved and protected his family. He loved life and his strong will to live made all who surrounded him stronger. He was a knowledgeable man and a great teacher, who taught us so much about life. He was a true blessing from God to all of us and now God has turned our "Angel" on earth into our "Angel" in Heaven. Thank you, Lord for sharing your angel with us. We will miss him greatly and will hold wonderful memories of him in our hearts forever. H.T. was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Alice Beane Grove of the home, one son: Donald Thomas Grove and his wife, Norene of Randleman, daughter: Nora Grove Frazier and her fiancée, Tait Absher of Randleman, grandchildren: Robbie Booth and wife, Kimberly of Ramseur, Jacob Helms and wife, Angela of Coleridge, Nathan Helms and Megan of Asheboro, Shawn McMurray of Statesville, Tamara Frazier of Randleman and Lane Frazier of Randleman; great grandchildren: Jacob Helms, Kasey Helms, Natalie Booth, Grayson Booth and Hunter Helms, sister: Debbie Grove Tucker and husband, Pete of Randleman, brother: Butch Grove of West Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral services will be held Monday, November 4, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Randleman Church of God, 305 East Brown Street, Randleman with Rev. Wayne Rouse (Pastor of Sophia Church of God) officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
